Phu Quoc Vietnam

This morning, after breakfast we piled into a van for the 40 minute back road drive to Ha Tien, Vietnam. Just before Ha Tien, we endured another border crossing. Even with our visa's in hand the crossing was painfully slow. There was only one agent at the counter and he had to make all entries manually. There also was an epidemic control which required we supply vaccination papers or fill out a form to declare any illness. With the form complete the doctor took our temperature charged a dollar and let us pass.
Back in the van and onwards to the pier. The boat ride was about 90 minutes. At Phu Quoc we disembarked onto a very long pier and were greeted by many moto guys offering to give us a ride. We opted to walk, donned our backpacks and trudged across the pier. One more van ride and we arrived at our hotel.
We went for a short walk down the beach and passing many resorts and restaurants. We found one we thought we should try and it turned out to be a very good choice.. First impression; food here is much better than in Cambodia.
