Bangkok

Our travel for the second day was a repeat of the first. An early start and this time we wore the appropriate garb (legs and shoulders covered, no shorts) required to enter the and tour the Grand Palace. It is magnificently ornate. So much to see! The most spectacular though was The Royal Monastery of the Emerald Buddha. Amazing! The Buddha is enshrined on a golden traditional Thai-style throne made of gilded carved wood. Cameras were not allowed.
Lunch was in the market, chicken with green curry. Yum!
