Pepper Plantation and farms

Our breakfast dining area is on the second floor of an open walled pole structure with a thatched roof. Beautiful views towards the Sea of Thailand and of the surrounding hills. After our standard breakfast of fruit, eggs, baguettes and coffee our Tuk Tuk driver, Bot(his name is Bot), took us down some back roads and up in the hills to the Pepper Plantation. Here we saw how pepper is grown as well as cashews, mangos and durian. Back in town Bot gave us a tour and we looked at alternatives for hotels and eating places. We had a nice coffee at the Auberge across from where the fishing boats are kept. We headed to the crab market for lunch at a restaurant recommended by Bot. Not a good choice. We had a chicken with vegetables dish and OMG the chicken was boney! I think they just up and hacked all the bones into small pieces and cooked them in the dish. I'm not sure where the meat went but it definitely was NOT in our dish or on the bones in our dish. Mary-Jo and David also had chicken which also required a recon team to find the meat. This one is OFF our list!
Back to the pool for an afternoon of dipping and lounging. No wifi today that is why this post is late.
