We are back!

Okay, I'm back. Think I had writers block or something like it. We are still in Hoi An. Four days have passed. We must be under a spell, probably by the tailors, to keep us here. Why else would we stay so long under these grey skies, rain showers and cool temperatures. They certainly have taken control of our minds, a trance so powerful it renders us helpless and unable to resist entering their shops and purchasing their wears (pun intended).
Fortunately, the spell was broken, probably by the rays of sunshine that managed to squeeze through blanket of grey sky. It was a great moment, which allowed us to gather our wits and make a dash to the travel agent to book our escape. LOL
We booked the next leg of our trip, departing here on the 15th, will take us to Kuala Lumpur where we will explore the city and malls for here days before moving on to Krabi, Thailand both destinations promising sunshine and warm weather.

So we've got some catching up to do. Nothing too spectacular mostly just time spent enjoying the town and interesting people we have encountered. Too wet most days to want to really go anywhere.
The tradition at our hotel where they treat us to an afternoon snack, continues daily. It is quite nice, so far it's been muffins, fresh pineapple, mango smoothie, fresh watermelon, and today a avocado smoothie. On the 9th the hotel had a sit down dinner for all of us, this time also with beer and wine. The food was wonderful as were the people. Hue, Katie from New Zealand, and their three children, Russ and Cheryl from Hawaii, Joanne from Australia and another couple with four children also from New Zealand. Dominique, a young school teacher from Australia, made arrangements with the fellow from New Zealand, to ride motorbikes (scooters) up the coast to the city of Hue, while the Kiwi's wife and the four kids made their way by bus. I thought this was fantastic, too bad we booked flights or I would have joined the tour and Marie the bus.

Just a few pictures from around the town and the dinner. Next is our venture to Cam Kim island.
