More Hoi An

Many shops are enjoyable especially those where the artisans are plying their craft. Beautiful carvings and spectacular oil paintings.
As we passed by the market there was a gauntlet of street vendors all trying to get our attention with " you buy, Happy Hour, good price". Funny at first but after a constant barrage it becomes very tiresome.
We decided to try "Cargo's" for dinner. Entry was through their cafe with glass show cases filled with a large variety of sinfully enticing desserts. Better save room. Upstairs in the dining room we were lead to a beautiful balcony and seated at a charming table to look out over the river. A delightful menu with both a Vietnamese and European influence. We decided to share the red tuna encrusted in sesame seeds, served with salad and potato, and the mixed vegetables. Unfortunately the red tuna was not available however they offered a white tuna instead.
The presentation was perfect and the flavours even more than perfect, the tuna cooked just enough to make it hot leaving it more like sushi, and absolutely delicious dipped in the accompanying horseradish sauce. OMG! Yummy!
For dessert, we ordered Creme Brûlée and a Truffle Chocolate Mousse. Unbelievably scrumptious and even better accompanied by two cappuccinos. Okay that was a splurge for us but still under $25 for our entire dinner. Not bad for a gourmet meal. The table across from had in interesting dish, a coconut shell (flambéing) filled with curried beef.
Picture of our new hotel at night and some items on the menu. Very reasonable and very tasty.
