Bring Day 2 to a close.

There is a very nice stretch of stores by then pavilion where we sat enjoying an ice coffee and watching the people go by. Two gals, dressed in alike outfits, were handing out pamphlets promoting a night club. They were very entertaining as were all the people passing by.
I do believe we logged a record number of miles for our walk today. By the time we reached the hotel we were bagged and once again hungry. Around the corner were a variety of street eateries. We stopped to watch this one guy cooking stuff in a series of clay pots set upon a hot flame. There was a gal in a hotel uniform there as well. We asked her about the pots and she told us this guy was one of the longest street cooks around. He cooks rice in the pots and then adds raw (marinated) chicken chunks (meat and bones) and spices. He serves it up as take out or an a plate to enjoy at his plastic tables and stools. Small pots for a single portions, big pots for two, or the hungry. We gave it a try and yes it was delicious and satisfying.
After dinner we ventured past some of the other vendors where a very friendly and persuasive chap convince us to sample one of his leaf wrapped treats. We weren't sure what it was but at .50 cents we figured it was worth a taste. Once again delicious, sticky rice topped with shredded coconut and brown sugar. Full and tired it was time to retire for the evening.
