KL Tower and the Petrona"s

KL has two vantage points from where on can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. The newest are the Petrona twin towers and the other is the single KL tower built in 1996. We opted for the single tower as it's vantage point is 20 stories higher than the Patronas.
A later start on the rail transit ensured it wasn't crowded. We got off at a station close to the tower and were expecting to walk through the only spec of rainforest here, to the Tower. Unfortunately it was closed. How do you close a rainforest? I guess they are upgrading the paths to protect what is left.
The viewing deck from the tower offered a spectacular view of the city. KL is very majestic, especially the enchanting, iconic skyscrapers reaching towards the sky. The architecture is amazing!
From the tower we drifted into the aquarium, slightly misleading saying the size was 2000 Sq metres. In reality it was a series of large aquariums hosting a variety of species of fish. Nice to see and probably worth the $7.00 fee. Check out "Mr. Lips" first fish I've seen with people lips. LOL!
Having pinpointed, from the tower (not really), the malls we wanted to visit, we were off on another mission. Walking under the heat of the midday sun ( very cliche for sure) does tend to tire one out and create thirst! Just so happens there was a very inviting looking Trattoria in our way. An outside table calling out to us, "sit here, sit here" well how can we deny such a temptation.
Italian, of course, with a wonderful salad bar that included a delightful soup (squash we think) blue cheese ( probably Gorgonzola being it is an Italian restaurant) and a Swiss cheese along with some capers, veggies and dressing. Yummy and that was only the starter to the main lunch special, Spinach Gnocchi with a wonderful cream dressing, a sprinkle of Romano cheese, burp! Ice teas quenched the initial thirst and to accompany our magnificent dessert (see the photo), what else other than a cappuccino and latte. Sorry but it was delicious and filling. Only reason I included so much of the food thing is it was a long awaited tasty meal that we stumbled upon.
Refreshed, and wanting to walk off all those tasty calories, we continued on until we arrived at the Petrona Towers. A spectacular building, two towers standing proud in all their glory connected by a futuristic walkway perfectly engineered for this amazing structure. 387.6 meters of steel, concrete and glass intricately put together over seven years. Just outside there are a host of restaurants and in one a guy was enjoying a yard of beer. Interesting.
At the base is a huge shopping complex, of course much to expensive for the average tourist, but nonetheless worthwhile seeing. Marie by Louis Vuitton, dream on!
From Petrona we made our way to the Pavillion, Sugarhill, Lot 10, Fahrenheit 88 and a few more.
